What are the ADA requirements?
At Iron Throne Site Services we offer portable wheelchair accessible restrooms that are A.D.A. compliant. The porta potties can be rented for use on a construction site, commercial area, or even special events in some areas. Our A.D.A. portable toilets are large enough and contain the proper elements to meet the standards that have been outlined by the ‘Americans with Disabilities Act’.
How do I know if I need an ADA compliant portable restroom(s)?
We don’t know your site needs like you know your site needs. So let us explain what we know about the A.D.A requirements. As we have understood the statute to be that for single user portable potties clustered in a single location, at least 5% but no less than one toilet unit should be installed at each cluster whenever typical inaccessible units are provided. Accessible units shall also be identified by the ISA – International Symbol of Accessibility. The exception is that if portable toilets are used exclusively by construction personnel who do not require the use of an A.D.A. toilet, you are not required to comply with this statute.
